ECKIR
The European Consortium for Knowledge and Information Research is aimed at furthering a well-informed society via facilitating the creation and dissemination of first-rate work in contemporary analytic epistemology. The ECKIR is constituted by prestigious research centres from 8 European universities, conducting cutting edge research in the nature of knowledge, rational trust, evidence, and information.
ECKIR regularly hosts major international epistemology events, holds an ongoing epistemology speaker series, and has a thriving epistemology PhD and Postdoc pan-European community. We also regularly host visiting researchers and PhD students, and currently, with support from the European Research Council, we are developing a novel proposal for a Master Erasmus Mundus in 'Knowledge and Society', aimed at training specialists in knowledge and information research.
Funders supporting our research include: European Research Council, UKRI Arts and Humanities Research Council, Leverhulme Trust, Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation, Swiss National Science Foundation, Danish National Research Foundation, Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.
